“.htm” or “html” file types

Files are usually seen on a computer to end with with 3 characters (usually) to designate what type of file it is. For example a “.doc” file is a Word file, an “.xls” is an Excel file, a “.txt” file is a plain text file.

HTML files can either end in “.htm” or “.html”. Either is fine and you can use whichever you like – or both interchangeably.

Notice the first file ends in .htm while the other files are .html – but all are considered to be HTML (web) pages.
